Life is Like Playing Mario

Progress with health problems is like when I would play Mario on an old gameboy as a kid.

I would go through each level and sometimes it was easy, and sometimes it was hard.

When it was hard, sometimes I’d die and have to start over at my last checkpoint.

Sometimes that checkpoint was before a particularly difficult part of the game.’

I’d have to slog through complicated movements, beat enemies, overcome obstacles, again.

It probably took me months to years, and many regressions to the last checkpoint, but if my memory is correct, I think I did eventually beat the game.

Real life is similar, but sometimes harder.

Sometimes you’re facing the “boss” on level 10, lose, and have to go back to level 5 and work your way back up through levels 6,7,8, and 9 before you can even face that real life “boss” again.
