Read less, do less, be consistent.

And you’ll accomplish more.

I was talking to my Uncle today about how we’re both dealing with health problems and what God was teaching us through that.

One thing we are learning is to take things we used to be able to do in an hour or two of focused effort and break them into pieces so we can do them over the course of a week.

It’s humbling. And it is a superpower.

When we do not break the task into pieces, it’s too much for us to do, so we do not do it all.

I’ve been in a lot of pain recently and haven’t been reading about my craft like I Iike to.

I have books with twenty page chapters and  learn a lot from them, but this time I’m restarting my reading process by reading a book on excellence from an author I like that has 2-3 page chapters.

It doesn’t matter how much pain I’m in, I can read two pages.

No matter how bad I feel, by the grace of God, I can still read. That feels like a superpower.

When you are practicing communication skills, it is possible that you are not finding the success you want because your practice is not small enough.

It is better to be consistent than to be intense. To make your practice of communication something that you can do on your worst day.
